What is the SGF file format?
A file with the .SGF extension is a file known as StarOffice Document With Graphics. This format is associated with Oracle Corporation.
The reliable way to open a .SGF file is with software that recognises this exact format, rather than guessing from the file name. If you are not sure what created a file, our file identifier can read its first bytes and name the real format, even when the file has been renamed.
We are still gathering the list of programs that open .SGF files. A fully verified, hand-written description of this format is being prepared; until then, the details on this page are drawn directly from our database.
