SFK is a temporary file generated by software developed by Sony, such as SoundForge ACID or Vegas. SFK file stores graphical data that visually represent WAV audio data. SFK files also contains metadata for given WAV file.
SFK files only represent WAV file data and don’t contain any actual audio data – such data is stored in related WAV file. SFK files cannot be opened and edited manually.
SFK file is generated automatically when WAV file is opened with any of the tools mentioned earlier. SFK file is saved and stored in the same folder and under the same filename as the related WAV file. SFK suffix is added to the filename.
